Lava Show, founded in Vík in 2018 and expanded to Reykjavík in 2022, is the only experience of its kind in the world. Using specially modified furnaces powered by green energy, the company safely melts real lava and pours it in front of live audiences. More than 200,000 visitors from 163 countries experienced Lava Show in Iceland in 2024 alone, making it one of the nation’s most in-demand attractions.

Meet the power behind the lava! Lava Show founders Lady Lava (Ragnhildur Ágústsdóttir) and Mr. Lava Lava (Júlíus Ingi Jónsson) bringing the heat with our mobile lava furnace .
“We are beyond excited to bring Lava Show to Boston and melt real lava in front of a U.S. audience for the very first time. Taste of Iceland is the perfect stage to share Iceland’s fiery spirit, and I can’t wait to meet people in Boston, feel their energy, and talk about the future of Lava Show together," comments Lava Show founder, Ragnhildur Ágústsdóttir - Lady Lava.
